About

Before we begin to organize, you will start by making decisions on whether or not an item will stay in your home. If not, where is it going? Family, friends, a shelter, Goodwill, etc. or the trash. Once this is complete, you will then have a visual of what space you really have to work with. Now the organizing can begin. Finally, we will discuss options that meet your particular lifestyle, and systems that will keep your space organized. Remember, there is no organizational idea or solution that will work if a system is not in place to maintain it.
AGING IN PLACE
Aging in place is when a person lives and ages in their residence of choice. As adults age, more and more choices are taken away for health and safety reasons. Being able to stay in their home gives the older adult a sense of being in control. Decluttering and organizing the home will address safety issues as well as being able to locate items. This will allow the older adult to be comfortable and have stability.
HOME/OFFICE

Psychologically, having an organized home and office reduces our anxiety and gives us a sense of certainty. Data has shown that excess clutter is distracting and inhibits our ability to concentrate and focus. Additionally, an organized environment allows your brain to work more efficiently. It also gives us a sense of familiarly in our daily lives. With an organized home and office, you will experience the feeling of being in control of your life.

DOWNSIZING/RIGHT SIZING

What is the difference between downsizing and right sizing? Often, people downsize their space due to a change in circumstances. A common example would be when parents become empty nesters and no longer need as much space. Right sizing is when you customize your space for your life. For instance, when an adult child moves out, you decide to change the their room into your craft room or whatever the next chapter in your life has in store for you.
